MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 163 Battery Removal Remove the rider's seat (refer to Rider's Seat Removal in General Information chapter). Unhook the rubber band. Disconnect the wire from the battery, first from the (-) terminal and then the (+) terminal. • • • the battery out of the case. • Take Clean battery using a solution of • bakingthe soda and water. Be sure that the wire connections are clean. Battery Installation Place the battery in the battery case. Connect the red capped wire to the (+) terminal, and then connect the black capped wire to the (-) terminal. • • żInstall the battery in the reverse order of the Battery Removal. NOTE A. Battery Removal
•
Remove the rider’s seat (refer to
Rider’s Seat Removal in General
Information chapter).
•
Unhook the rubber band.
•
Disconnect the wire from the battery,
first from the (–) terminal and then the
(+) terminal.
A. (+) Terminal
B. (–) Terminal
C. Rubber Band
•
Take the battery out of the case.
•
Clean the battery using a solution of
baking soda and water. Be sure that
the wire connections are clean.
Battery Installation
•
Place the battery in the battery case.
•
Connect the red capped wire to the
(+) terminal, and then connect the
black capped wire to the (–) terminal.
NOTE
ż
Install the battery in the reverse order
of the Battery Removal.
