Checking brake pads for wear (fig. 47) MIN To facilitate inspection without removing the pads from the calipers, front brake pads have a wear mark. If the grooves in the friction material are still visible, the pad is still in good condition. Rear brake pads are to be replaced when friction material is worn down to about 1 mm (fig. 47a). To facilitate inspection without removing the pads from
the calipers, front brake pads have a wear mark. If the
grooves in the friction material are still visible, the pad is
still in good condition.
Rear brake pads are to be replaced when friction material
is worn down to about 1 mm (fig. 47a). This can be seen
through the opening in the caliper halves.
Important
Have the brake pads replaced at a Ducati Dealer or
Authorised Workshop.
