2) Check that the stop switch (1, fig. 37) is positioned to (RUN), then press the starter button (2). This model is equipped with a servoignition system. To achieve assisted engine starting, press the button (2) and release it immediately. Pressing the button (2) operates automatic engine starting for a maximum period of time that varies depending on engine temperature. When the engine has started, the system prevents the starter motor from turning over. If the engine fails to start, allow at least 2 seconds before pressing the starter button (2) again. Let the engine start without using the throttle control. Note If the battery is flat, the system will automatically prevent the starter motor from turning over.
