Parking Stop the motorcycle, then put it on the side stand (see page 29). Turn the handlebar fully left and block it by pushing in the ignition key and turning it to the LOCK position. If you park in a garage or other facilities, make sure that there is proper ventilation and that the motorcycle is not near a source of heat or sparks. You may leave the parking lights on by turning the key to position P. Refuelling Never overfill the tank when refuelling. Fuel should never be touching the rim of filler recess (fig. 33). Warning Use low-lead fuel having at least 95 fuel octane rating. Be sure there is no fuel trapped in the filler recess. E Important Do not leave the key turned to P for long periods or the battery will run down. Never leave the ignition key in the switch when you are leaving your bike unattended. Warning The exhaust system might be hot, even after engine is switched off; pay particular attention not to touch exhaust system with any body part and do not park the vehicle next to inflammable material (wood, leaves etc.). Warning Using padlocks or locks that prevent motion (such as brake disc or crown sprocket locks and so on) is very dangerous and may affect motorcycle operation as well as the safety of rider and passenger. fig. 33 38 Max level
