Tips

•

HDD encryption setting can be changed only when there are no

jobs (Hold Jobs, HDD Jobs, Secure Job) saved on the HDD.

When the machine is turned on, the firmware diagnosis that detects

whether machine programs are normally written and the device di-

agnosis that detects an error in configuration information used for

the security function are performed automatically. If an error is de-

tected, the [Service Call] screen is displayed.

The CE password and adminis-

trator password should be com-

prised of 8 alphanumeric

characters (the alphabetic char-

acters are case-sensitive).

Specify the CE password and
