12 [Administrator Setting]: [Controller Administrator Setting] 12.16 Switch No. 159 160 161 162 Problem/Requirement The APPE profile that converts CMYK data to gray scale ordinarily reproduces the gradation of the CMYK high-density area; therefore, the black density 100% area of original data cannot be output with black density 100%. Such an area should be output forcibly with black density 100%. The maximum number of able to registered CMYK-CMYK direct link profiles should be increased to 100 or more. When the number of CMYK-CMYK direct link profiles to be registered exceeds the maximum, a new profile should be registered by automatically deleting the oldest profile. When [2-Color Printing] (used as Single Color) is specified in the PS Plug-in driver, if the same special colors specified in the driver are used in the original for printing, the density may become thinner. When the same special colors are specified, prints should be made while the density remains unchanged. Solution reached when turned On Set the option so that an image object can be held with black density 100%. Setting value: Off: Does not hold black density 100% in gray-scale output mode. On: Holds black density 100% in grayscale output mode. [Restrictions] • An image object is forcibly output, so the gradation of the high-density part may be damaged. This function is available only for the scanned text data. • When this function is set to On, the Pure Black setting is not reflected. • This setting is available only for PS(CPSI), PDF(CPSI), PDF(APPE), TIFF(Emperor), and PPML. Also, CPSI is available only when switch 158 is set to On. Setting value: Off: Allows you to register up to 50 CMYK-CMYK device link profiles. When 51 or more CMYK-CMYK device link profiles are included in the database at startup, the system stores only the 50 items of which the registration date is later. The remaining 50 items are deleted (however, this setting is configured so that the profiles specified by color default cannot be deleted). On: Allows you to register up to 100 CMYK-CMYK device link profiles. Setting value: Off: Disables a new profile from being registered when the maximum number of CMYK-DLP profiles have already been registered. On: Deletes the table of the oldest creation data and time from the list and registers a new CMYK-DLP profile when the maximum number of CMYK-DLP profiles have already been registered. Setting value: Off: When the special colors with the plate (CMYK) replaced are specified for 2-color printing, if they are used in the original, the special colors used in the original are changed. However, the density may become thinner. On: When the special colors with the plate (CMYK) replaced are specified for 2-color printing, if they are used in the original, the original is printed out with the same density while the special colors used in the original remain unchanged. 12-34 AccurioPress C6100/C6085

with black density 100%. Such an area
should be output forcibly with black den-
sity 100%.
Set the option so that an image object
can be held with black density 100%.
Setting value:
Off: Does not hold black density 100% in
gray-scale output mode.
On: Holds black density 100% in gray-
scale output mode.
[Restrictions]
An image object is forcibly output, so
the gradation of the high-density part
may be damaged. This function is
available only for the scanned text da-
ta.
When this function is set to On, the
Pure Black setting is not reflected.
This setting is available only for
PS(CPSI), PDF(CPSI), PDF(APPE),
TIFF(Emperor), and PPML. Also, CPSI
is available only when switch 158 is
set to On.

The maximum number of able to regis-
tered CMYK-CMYK direct link profiles
should be increased to 100 or more.
Setting value:
Off: Allows you to register up to 50
CMYK-CMYK device link profiles.
When 51 or more CMYK-CMYK device
link profiles are included in the database
at startup, the system stores only the 50
items of which the registration date is lat-
er. The remaining 50 items are deleted
(however, this setting is configured so
that the profiles specified by color default
cannot be deleted).
On: Allows you to register up to 100
CMYK-CMYK device link profiles.
161
When the number of CMYK-CMYK direct
link profiles to be registered exceeds the
maximum, a new profile should be regis-
tered by automatically deleting the oldest
profile.
Setting value:
Off: Disables a new profile from being
registered when the maximum number of
CMYK-DLP profiles have already been
registered.
On: Deletes the table of the oldest crea-
tion data and time from the list and regis-
ters a new CMYK-DLP profile when the
maximum number of CMYK-DLP profiles
have already been registered.
162
When [2-Color Printing] (used as Single
Color) is specified in the PS Plug-in driv-
er, if the same special colors specified in
the driver are used in the original for print-
ing, the density may become thinner.
When the same special colors are speci-
fied, prints should be made while the
density remains unchanged.
Setting value:
Off: When the special colors with the
plate (CMYK) replaced are specified for
2-color printing, if they are used in the
original, the special colors used in the
original are changed. However, the den-
sity may become thinner.
On: When the special colors with the
plate (CMYK) replaced are specified for
2-color printing, if they are used in the
original, the original is printed out with the
same density while the special colors
used in the original remain unchanged.
