2.3 General Inquiries 2 2.3.3 The text printing position is not centered in a line, and it becomes displaced either vertically or horizontally. Cause Option This phenomenon occurred in a PDF file. The font is not embedded in the PDF file; therefore, some text is replaced by text of an alternative font when RIP processing is performed, which causes the replaced part to become displaced either vertically or horizontally. All controllers Working time Overview Precautions Procedure Five minutes or less Embed the required font in the PDF file before printing. The data size of the PDF file may be enlarged. The following example shows a procedure using Adobe Acrobat. 1. Open the PDF file using Acrobat. 2. Select [File] - [Properties...] - [Font]. 3. Check that "(Embedded Subset)" is described in all fonts. 4. Otherwise, select Virtual Printer - [Adobe PDF], and re-create a PDF file. 2.3.4 A black/white original was printed, but it was counted as a color print. Cause Option Crop mark was specified as color data (SpotColor ALL). This error may occur in general Adobe applications. All controllers Working time Overview Precautions Procedure Fifteen minutes or less This error can be avoided by specifying black for SpotColor ALL. Black can be specified in the color setting of SpotColor. SpotColor ALL is a special color specified for a crop mark that is generated using an Adobe DTP application. - 1. Select [Server] - [Device Center] on Command WorkStation to open the Device Center screen. 2. Select [RESOURCES] - [Spot Colors] - [+New], and create a new spot color dictionary. 3. Select [+New] - [Spot Color], and enter "ALL" for the color name. 4. For the CMYK value, specify C=0, M=0, Y=0, and K=100 as the conversion colors, and register them. 5. Start printing. 2.3.5 As the main unit is out of paper, a timeout error occurs in the basic server. Cause Option This error occurs when SNMP status monitoring is performed in the basic server. In this example, when an out-of-paper error is not cleared within one minute, a timeout error occurs in the server side as the status monitoring setting. KMI controllers Working time Overview Precautions Procedure Five minutes or less Turn OFF the SNMP setting of the main unit side, and also turn OFF the status monitoring function of the basic server. The status monitoring function does not work. Printing may not be performed depending on the type or setting of the basic server. 1. On the control panel, press Utility/Counter - [Administrator Setting] - [Network Setting] - [NIC Settings] - set [SNMP Settings] to [OFF]. AccurioPress C6100/C6085 2-5
