User Guide About SIM card security About SIM card security You can protect your SIM card with a PIN code to add another level of security to your BlackBerry® device. If you lock your SIM card with a PIN code, other people cannot use their SIM card in your device. Before you can use your SIM card in another device, you must type the PIN code. Protect your SIM card with a PIN code To obtain your SIM card PIN code, contact your wireless service provider. Note: If you type the SIM card PIN code incorrectly three times, your SIM card does not function. 1. On the Home screen or in the Settings folder, click the Options icon. 2. Click Advanced Options. 3. Click SIM Card. 4. Press the Menu key. 5. Click Enable Security. 6. Type your SIM card PIN code. 7. Press the Enter key. Change the SIM card PIN code 1.
