Hold the pivot point of the throttle lever away from the throttle switch by putting your thumb (above) and forefinger (below) between the throttle lever pivot and the engine stop switch housing. specified throttle cable free play is ob-
tained.

Tighten the locknut.

When checking the T.O.R.S., take precau-

Make sure that the throttle lever moves

checking the T.O.R.S.

Do not rev the engine to the point that
the clutch engages.
Check the T.O.R.S. for proper operation.
