ECS00631 NOTICE Be sure to turn the main switch to the off position and disconnect the negative battery lead to prevent accidental short-circuiting. The main fuse, the EPS fuse, and the fuel injection system fuse are located under the air filter case. The fuse box, which contains the fuses for the individual circuits, is located behind the right side cover. 1. Remove the shroud, the left and right side covers, and the top cover. (See page 50 for removal procedures.) 2. Remove the headlight unit. (See page 76.) 3. Loosen the joint clamp bolts. Charge or have a Yamaha dealer charge the battery as soon as possible if it seems to have discharged. Keep in mind that the battery tends to discharge more quickly if the snowmobile is equipped with electrical accessories. Disconnect the negative lead first, then the positive lead from the battery. Connect the positive lead first, then the negative lead to the battery when installing the battery.
