Periodic maintenance and adjustment ECS00382 NOTICE Make sure that the spark plug caps are securely installed. Otherwise the spark plug caps could be damaged due to engine vibration. ESU11838 1 Adjusting the throttle lever free play 1. 2. Place the snowmobile on a level surface and apply the parking brake. Remove the shroud, the left and right side covers, and the top cover. (See page 50 for removal procedures.) Remove the headlight unit bolt on each side of the snowmobile. 1. Headlight unit 5. 6. 3. Loosen the locknut. To increase the throttle lever free play, turn the adjusting bolt in direction (a). To decrease the throttle lever free play, turn the adjusting bolt in direction (b). 2 1 1 (a) (b) 1. Headlight unit bolt 4. Unhook the headlight unit as shown, then lift it up and move it forward, away from the air filter case cover.
