Periodic maintenance and adjustment 1. 2. Place the snowmobile on a level surface and apply the parking brake. Remove the shroud, the left and right side covers, and the top cover. (See page 49 for removal procedures.) Remove the headlight unit bolt on each side of the snowmobile, and then unhook the headlight unit. (See page 52.) Air filter case cover 5. The T.O.R.S. will be activated and the engine speed will be limited to less than the clutch engagement speed. (See page 88 for the clutch engagement speed.) WARNING! If the engine speed does not decrease to less than the clutch engagement speed, stop the engine by turning the main switch to the off position and consult a Yamaha dealer. Operating the snowmobile with a malfunctioning T.O.R.S. could result in loss of control. [EWS00362] ESU11887 Lift up the air filter element frame and check the air filter element. If there is any snow on the air filter element, remove the element, brush off the snow, and then install the air filter element. 1 Checking the air filter Check that there is no snow under the air filter element frame after each ride.
