Before you begin any maintenance procedure, read the instructions for the entire procedure in this section of the Owner's Manual. Choose a flat, firm surface for servicing the motorcycle. Make sure you have the time, tools, and expertise to complete a procedure properly. During maintenance you might use products that are potentially hazardous; such as oil or brake fluid.
