Rear Suspension Adjust Rear Shock Absorber Preload (Ride Height) 1. To adjust the shock absorber spring pre-load: 1. Rest the motorcycle on the sidestand. Remove the right side cover (page 46). 2. Remove the fuse box from right panel by lifting upward on the tab at the forward end while pulling the fuse box forward (page 127). Make sure that the rear brake fluid reservoir cap is secured to prevent fluid loss (page 111). 3. Remove three (10mm) bolts (A) holding the fuse box bracket to chassis. 4. Remove the wire harness dart (B) from the fuse box bracket by squeezing the tabs with a long nose pliers. 5. Carefully pull and rotate the fuse box bracket toward the front of the motorcycle. Rear Suspension
Adjust Rear Shock Absorber Preload (Ride Height)
1.
To adjust the shock absorber spring pre-load:
1. Rest the motorcycle on the sidestand. Remove the right side
cover (page 46).
2. Remove the fuse box from right panel by lifting upward on
the tab at the forward end while pulling the fuse box forward
(page 127). Make sure that the rear brake fluid reservoir cap is
secured to prevent fluid loss (page 111).
3. Remove three (10mm) bolts (A) holding the fuse box bracket to
chassis.
4. Remove the wire harness dart (B) from the fuse box bracket
by squeezing the tabs with a long nose pliers.
5. Carefully pull and rotate the fuse box bracket toward the front
of the motorcycle.
