WARRANTY Conditions and Exclusions In order to qualify for warranty, the product must have been properly set up and tested by a Polaris Dealer (if applicable). Failure of any dealer to perform the required vehicle PreDelivery Inspection, perform all applicable service bulletins and have the consumer sign the PDI form prior to delivery may void the warranty. Failure to provide proof of required periodic maintenance upon request may result in denial of warranty coverage. Use of the recommended Polaris products for lubrication and maintenance as directed by the Owner's manual is highly recommended. Should a failure occur during the warranty period resulting from the use of non-recommended products, warranty coverage may be denied. Warranty does not apply to parts exposed to friction surfaces, stresses, environmental conditions and/or contamination. The following items are excluded from warranty consideration if the failure was due to wear or not the direct result of a defect: Skis Ski wear rods Tracks Slide rails Suspension components Finished and unfinished surfaces Brake components Carburetor/Throttle body components Seat components Engine components Clutches and components Drive belts Steering components Hydraulic components Batteries Circuit breakers/Fuses Light bulbs/Sealed beam lamps Electronic components Idler wheels Warranty applies to the product only and does not allow for coverage of personal loss. Some items are considered "consumable," meaning they are considered part of normal maintenance or part of completing an effective repair. The following items are excluded from warranty coverage in the event of a warranty claim: Spark Plugs Lubricants such as oil, grease, etc. Filters Batteries (unless defective) Fuel Cosmetic damage/repair Sealants Coolants Hotel fees Meals Towing charges Shipping/ handling fees Mileage Product pick-up/delivery Rentals/Loss of product use Loss of vacation/personal time This warranty also excludes failures resulting from improper lubrication; improper engine timing; improper fuel; surface imperfections caused by external stress, heat, cold or contamination; operator error or abuse; improper component alignment, tension, adjustment or altitude compensation; failure due to snow, water, dirt or other foreign substance ingestion/contamination; improper maintenance; modified components; use of aftermarket components resulting in failure; unauthorized repairs; repairs made after the warranty period expires or by an unauthorized repair center; use of the product in competition or for commercial purposes. Warranty will not apply to any product which has been damaged by abuse, accident, fire or any other casualty not determined a defect of materials or workmanship. 117
