OPERATION Reverse Operation (Electronic) WARNING Reverse operation, even at low speeds, may cause loss of control, resulting in serious injury or death. To avoid loss of control, always: S S S S Look behind before and while backing. Avoid sharp turns. Shift to or from reverse only when stopped. Apply throttle slowly. This reverse will only activate if the engine is below 4000 RPM. Make sure the vehicle is stopped and the engine is running at idle. 1 Make sure the area behind you is clear. 2 Push the yellow reverse button on the left hand control for one second and release. The engine will automatically reduce RPM and start a reverse rotation. A flashing reverse light on the instrument panel will indicate the machine is in reverse. 3 Slowly apply the throttle until movement starts and until you are certain you are in reverse. NOTE: The maximum engine RPM will be 6000 when in reverse. NOTE: If the engine has stopped running, the snowmobile will run forward the next time it's started. CAUTION To avoid personal injury and/or engine damage, do not operate the electric starter or pull-rope starter while the engine is running. 91
