OPERATION Emergency Stopping And Starting Stopping The following chart lists methods for stopping the snowmobile in the event of an emergency. Refer to page 86 for more information about the engine stop switch and throttle safety switch. This overheated condition could cause sudden loss of brakes and/or fire, resulting in serious injury or death. When traveling on long downhill stretches, pump the brakes. Riding the brakes may cause the brake system to overheat, resulting in brake failure. 88
