TROUBLESHOOTING Loudspeaker does not power on. Transmitter Does Not Power On No sound from loudspeaker. The loudspeaker's sound is intermittent, sounds weak or is distorted. - Check that the speaker's power is plugged into a live wall outlet and is securely connected to the amplifier plate. - Ensure the rear panel power switch is in the "On" position. - Check that the transmitter's power supply is plugged into a live wall outlet and securely connected to the transmitter. - Push the SCAN button on the transmitter for 3 seconds and then press the scan button on the loudspeaker for 3 seconds to reset the "communications" link between the transmitter and the loudspeaker. - Turn up the volume control of the individual channels through your receiver. - Make sure the transmitter is plugged into a live wall outlet - Turn off and unplug the transmitter and the loudspeaker. Then turn on the loudspeaker and plug in the transmitter. - Push the SCAN button on the transmitter for 3 seconds and then press the scan button on the loudspeaker for 3 seconds to reset the "communications" link between the transmitter and the loudspeaker. - The loudspeaker could be too far away from the transmitter to receive a sufficiently strong signal. Try moving it closer. - Move the transmitter further away from other electronic devices (see below). A Note Regarding Wireless Performance: Like all wireless devices, your F/X Wireless Surround may be susceptible to RF interference from such sources as microwave ovens, WiFi computer systems, video game systems, cordless telephones, blue tooth systems, baby monitors and other devices. In particular, any devices operating in the 2.4GHz band may cause intermittent wireless connections between the transmitte and speaker of the F/X Wireless Surround. It is also possible that your F/X Wireless Surround may affect other wireless systems. For the most part, you can avoid wireless performance problems by physically separating these devices from your F/X Wireless Surround. Maintaining a distance of several feet or more between your F/X Wireless Surround speaker and any wireless device should prevent any mutual interference effects. If you do notice any signal dropouts take care to identify the root cause (most commonly having other wireless devices too close) and resolve accordingly. Any interference effects from a microwave oven will cease once the oven stops operating and may be resolved on a long-term basis by increasing the physical distance between your F/X Wireless Surround and the microwave oven. 12 Polk Audio Customer Service 800-377-7655 (Outside USA & Canada: 410-358-3600)
