Chapter 3 - Extended Commands Control Character Sequence Descriptions Character =0d =0a # ^9c Description Carriage return (required for all command lines) Line feed Terminating character for the #F extended command ST control character 0x9c Printing a Basic Label In this example, the control character sequence prints the text "Hello" to the connected Intermec printer. The control character sequence is as follows: ^9F#F8N810000099000000bb05PT "Hello":PF=0d=0a#^9C Fingerprint Command Descriptions Characters Description PT The abbreviated PRTXT command, which tells the printer to print "Hello". PF The abbreviated PRINTFEED command, which runs the program and then resets all settings to default values. If the label is printed correctly, the #F command returns these characters: PT "Hello":PF^0D^0A^0D If the label is not printed, you may see an error message such as "Out of paper" or "Door open". Changing Print Orientation This example prints the same basic label, with the print direction rotated 180 degrees from the default direction. The control character sequence is: ^9f#F8N810000099000000bb05PRPOS 160,250:DIR 3:ALIGN 4:FONT =22Swiss 721BT:PT "Hello":PF=0d=0a#^9C Fingerprint Command Descriptions Characters PRPOS 160,250 DIR 3 ALIGN 4 FONT =22Swiss 721BT PT "Hello" PF Descriptions Sets the printhead starting position. Sets the print direction to the same as the print feed. Specifies the anchor point of the field. Sets the font. Tells the printer to print "Hello". Prints a single label. Printing a Bar Code Label This complex example includes several control character sequences that print a box, a graphic (pre-loaded on Fingerprint printers), a bar code that includes humanreadable text, and a single text line.
