Chapter 3 - Extended Commands 3270/5250 Data Streams (continued) Column 20-21 22 23 24-25 Description Character Start character AA=Hexadecimal ASCII code. Range: 00-99. Default of 00 or bb implies no start character. Return start character to host F=Return character; b = Do not return character Flag parity errors P=Flag; b = Do not flag Receive timeout length XX=Number of seconds the computer waits for input from the RS-232 port before it sends a timeout error. Uses a 5-second default when field contains spaces. Return AID Key Characters The following table lists the extended command AID keys and characters returned to the host. For example, if you want an F1 AID key, use "A" as the character. Note: The symbol "b" indicates a 1-byte space.
