Winding paper backward A Turn on the printer, and then pull out the roll paper. See step 3 to 6 of the following section. "Winding paper forward" on page 45 B Pull the bottom of the roll paper around the back of the reel core as shown below. Then tape the leading edge of the paper to the reel core in three places. H Press the button to feed the paper forward and create a loop of slack. I Set the Manual switch to Forward and hold it for a while to take up the roll paper for three or more revolutions of the take-up paper core. After taking up the paper, ensure that there is adequate slack between the roll paper and the take-up reel core. C Press the button to feed the paper forward and create a loop of slack. D Set the Manual switch to Backward and hold it for a while to take up the roll paper for three or more revolutions of the take-up paper core. After taking up the paper, ensure that there is adequate slack between the roll paper and the take-up reel core. Note: Place the Tensioner in the slack of the center of the roll paper. button to feed the paper forward
and create a loop of slack.

Set the
Manual
switch to
Forward
and hold it
for a while to take up the roll paper for three or
more revolutions of the take-up paper core.
After taking up the paper, ensure that there is
adequate slack between the roll paper and the
take-up reel core.
Note:
Place the Tensioner in the slack of the center of
the roll paper. See the following section for the
paper which uses the tensioner.
