Disconnect the fan cable from the system board [1].
NOTE:
After removing the heat sink assembly, ensure to disconnect the fan cable.

Remove the M2.0 x 5.0 screws that secure the heat sink and the M2.0 x 3.0 screws that secure the fan to the system board [2].
