Section 3 - Configuration PPPoE Select PPPoE (Point-to-Point-Tunneling Protocol) if your Internet connection requires you to enter a username and password. This information can be provided by your Internet service provider (ISP). Required fields will vary, depending on the options you have enabled.* PPPoE Session: Choose Share with IPv4 to re-use your IPv4 PPPoE username and password, or Create a new session. Username: If you selected Create a new session above, enter the PPPoE Username provided by your ISP. Password: If you selected Create a new session above, enter the PPPoE Password provided by your ISP. Address Mode: Select Static IP if your ISP assigned you the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server addresses. In most cases, select Dynamic IP. IP Address: Enter the IP Address provided by your ISP (for Static IP only). Service Name: If you selected Create a new session above, enter the ISP Service Name (optional). Reconnect If you selected Create a new session above, select either Always Mode: on, On demand, or Manual. MTU: Maximum Transmission Unit - you may need to change the MTU for optimal performance with your ISP. DNS Type: Select either Obtain DNS server address or Use the following DNS . Primary DNS If you selected Use the following DNS, enter the Primary DNS Server: Server address. Secondary DNS If you selected Use the following DNS, enter the Secondary DNS Server: Server address.
