Section 3 - Configuration PPPoE Select PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) if your Internet connection requires you to enter a username and password. This information can be provided by your Internet service provider (ISP). Username: Enter the Username provided by your ISP. Password: Enter the Password provided by your ISP. Reconnect Select either Always on, On demand, or Manual. Mode: Maximum Idle Enter a maximum idle time during which the Internet connection Time: is maintained during inactivity. To disable this feature, enable Autoreconnect. Address Mode: Select Static IP if your ISP assigned you the IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server addresses. In most cases, select Dynamic IP. IP Address: Enter the IP Address provided by your ISP (Static IP only). Service Name: Enter the ISP Service Name (optional). Primary DNS Enter the Primary DNS Server IP address assigned by your ISP. Server: Secondary DNS Enter the Secondary DNS Server IP address assigned by your ISP. Server: MTU: Maximum Transmission Unit - by default this field will be set to Auto. Select Manual if you need to change the MTU for optimal performance with your ISP. Click Save when you are done.
