Your vehicle may be equipped with a luggage carrier. Outboard bumper strips onthe luggage carrier crossrails help ensure a quieter ride. If you wish to attach the luggage tiedowns or other equipment (see owner's manual for more information), you will need to remove the outboard bumper strips to access t h e tapped plates on the crossbar After the tiedowns or other equipment is removed, be sure t o reinstall t h e bumper strips.
