Before Starting the Engine Three "musts" before starting the engine are: 1. Apply the parking brake, 2. Put the shift lever in the "N" (neutral) position, 3. Check the throttle pedal for proper operation. It should return to its rest position when released. WARNING Operating this vehicle after consuming alcohol or drugs can seriously affect your judgement, cause you to react more slowly, affect your balance and perception, and result in an accident.
