MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 103 Oil Change NOTE żFront and rear final gear case oil drains easily and picks up any sediment when the oil is warmed up by running the vehicle. the vehicle level, place an oil pan beneath • With each gear case. • Remove the filler caps and drain plugs. NOTE żFor the rear final gear case, the drain plug includes a magnet. If metal particles stick on the drain plug, clean it off before installing. A. Rear Final Gear Case B. Filler Opening C. Filler Cap Tightening Torque Front Final Gear 17.5 N·m (1.78 kgf·m, 12.9 Case ft·lb) Rear Final Gear Case 25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m, 18 ft·lb) NOTE żFront and rear final gear cases use different types of oils.
