It must be properly maintained to ensure its efficiency. In accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart, clean the spark arrester. WARNING Incorrectly installed spark arrester can emit sparks which can cause a fire. Be sure the spark arrester and muffler are installed securely. j Spark Arrester Cleaning and Inspection A. Air Cleaner Housing B. Drain Cap WARNING The muffler can become extremely hot during normal operation and cause severe burns.
