MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 117 Idle Adjustment Idle adjustment is controlled by the ECU (electronic control unit) and cannot be adjusted. If the idle speed is unstable or out of specification, have your authorized Kawasaki dealer inspect the fuel injection system. Specified Idle Speed: 1 200 ±50 rpm Fuel Pump Filter The fuel pump filter can become blocked causing fuel pump damage if dirt/mud/debris or contaminated fuel enters the fuel tank. The engine may hesitate or lose power if the fuel pump filter becomes blocked. If you suspect that the fuel filter has become blocked, have your authorized Kawasaki dealer inspect the fuel pump and fuel tank. High Altitude Use High altitude adjustment is not required as the ECU controls the air/fuel mixture automatically. j

Idle Adjustment
Idle adjustment is controlled by the ECU (elec-
tronic control unit) and cannot be adjusted.
If the
idle speed is unstable or out of specification, have
your authorized Kawasaki dealer inspect the fuel in-
jection system.
Specified Idle Speed:
1 200 ยต50 rpm
High Altitude Use
High altitude adjustment is not required as the
ECU controls the air/fuel mixture automatically.
Fuel Pump Filter
The fuel pump filter can become blocked caus-
ing fuel pump damage if dirt/mud/debris or contam-
inated fuel enters the fuel tank.
The engine may
hesitate or lose power if the fuel pump filter be-
comes blocked. If you suspect that the fuel filter has
become blocked, have your authorized Kawasaki
dealer inspect the fuel pump and fuel tank.
