GENERAL INFORMATION 33 Speedometer: The speedometer shows the speed of the vehicle. j Fuel Level Gauge Symbol: The fuel in the fuel tank is shown in segments. All 7 segments are displayed when the fuel tank is full. As fuel is consumed the segments go out accordingly. The bottom segment begins flashing when only 1 bottom segment remains (E mark). When it begins flashing 3.5 liters (3.70 U.S. qt) of fuel remain. Fill the fuel tank as soon as possible because there is no reserve tank in this vehicle (see the Fuel Tank section). Coolant Temperature Warning Symbol: The coolant temperature warning symbol flashes whenever the coolant temperature rises to 115°C (239°F) or higher while the vehicle is in operation. If it stays on, stop the engine and check the coolant level in the reserve tank after the engine cools down. Also check the breaker of the radiator fan and, if it has functioned, reset the breaker. Be sure to check that the radiator fan is free from mud and other debris. See Breaker section of MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT chapter.
