162 MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT Joint Boots In accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart, inspect the joint boots on the front axles (4 pieces), tie rod ends (4 pieces), steering knuckles (2 pieces), and propeller shaft (3 pieces) for cracks, holes, damage or deterioration. If there is any indication of these troubles, have the joint boot replaced by an authorized Kawasaki dealer. To inspect the boots at the engine, remove the left engine cover. j A. Tie Rod B. Joint Boots
In accordance with the Periodic Maintenance
Chart, inspect the joint boots on the front axles (4
pieces), tie rod ends (4 pieces), steering knuckles
(2 pieces), and propeller shaft (3 pieces) for cracks,
holes, damage or deterioration. If there is any indi-
cation of these troubles, have the joint boot replaced
