MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT 161 Tire Wear, Damage As tire tread wears down, tires become more susceptible to puncture and failure. In accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart, measure the depth of the tread with a depth gauge, and replace any tire that has worn down to the minimum allowable tread depth. • Tightening Torque Wheel Nut 73 ∼ 83 N·m (7.4 ∼ 8.5 kgf·m, 54 ∼ 61 ft·lb) inspect the tire for cracks and cuts, replac• Visually ing the tire in case of bad damage. Tire Wear, Damage
As tire tread wears down, tires become more sus-
ceptible to puncture and failure.
•
In accordance with the Periodic Maintenance
Chart, measure the depth of the tread with a
depth gauge, and replace any tire that has worn
down to the minimum allowable tread depth.
