170 MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT General Lubrication Lubricate the points shown below, with either motor oil or regular grease, in accordance with the Periodic Maintenance Chart or whenever the vehicle has been operated under wet or rainy conditions, and especially after using a high-pressure spray washer. Before lubricating each part, clean off any rusty spots with rust remover and wipe off any grease, oil, dirt, or grime. żAfter connecting the cables, adjust them. NOTE j żA few drops of oil are effective in keeping bolts and nuts from rusting and sticking. This makes removal easier. Badly rusted nuts, bolts, etc., should be replaced with new ones. żBrake Lever żBrake Cable Joint żDifferential Control Lever żBrake Pedal Apply grease to the following points: żThrottle Inner Cable Upper End żDifferential Control Cable Lower End Apply motor oil to the following pivots: NOTE Lubricate the following cables with a pressure cable luber żRear Brake Inner Cable żThrottle Inner Cable żDifferential Control Cable
