Checking the engine oil level (fig. 73) The engine oil level can be checked through the sight glass (1) on the clutch cover on the right-hand side of the engine. When checking oil level, the motorcycle should be upright and the engine cold. The oil level should be between the two marks next to the sight glass. Top up oil level with SHELL Advance Ultra 4, if low. Undo the filler cap (2) and top up to correct level. Replace the filler cap. 2 1 E Important To change the engine oil and filters at the intervals specified in the maintenance table in the Warranty Booklet, contact a Ducati dealer or Authorized Service Centre. Oil viscosity SAE 10W-40 The other viscosity values shown in the table can be used if the local average temperature is within the limits specified for that oil viscosity. Checking the engine oil level

The engine oil level can be checked through the sight glass
(1) on the clutch cover on the right-hand side of the engine.
When checking oil level, the motorcycle should be upright
and the engine cold. The oil level should be between the
two marks next to the sight glass. Top up oil level with
SHELL Advance Ultra 4, if low. Undo the filler cap (2) and
top up to correct level. Replace the filler cap.
Important
To change the engine oil and filters at the intervals
specified in the maintenance table in the Warranty Booklet,
contact a Ducati dealer or Authorized Service Centre.
Oil viscosity
SAE 10W-40
The other viscosity values shown in the table can be
used if the local average temperature is within the limits
