Rear shock absorber adjusters (fig. 33.1, fig. 33.2, fig. 34.1 and fig. 34.2) The shock absorber has outer adjusters that enable you to adjust your motorcycle to the load. The adjuster (1), located on the right-hand side where the shock absorber is attached to the swingarm, controls rebound damping. The adjuster (2) on the shock absorber expansion reservoir controls compression damping. Turn the adjusters (1 and 2) clockwise to stiffen the damping or anti-clockwise to soften it. 1100S STANDARD setting from the fully closed position (clockwise): - unscrew the adjuster (1) by 12 clicks. - unscrew the adjuster (2) by 10 clicks. Spring preload: 22 mm The preload on the outer spring of the shock absorber can be adjusted by way of the knob (3) located on the right-hand side of the frame; follow the instructions given on the adjuster itself. Rear shock absorber adjusters

The shock absorber has outer adjusters that enable you
to adjust your motorcycle to the load.
The adjuster (1), located on the right-hand side where the
shock absorber is attached to the swingarm, controls
rebound damping.
The adjuster (2) on the shock absorber expansion
reservoir controls compression damping.
Turn the adjusters (1 and 2) clockwise to stiffen the
damping or anti-clockwise to soften it.

STANDARD setting from the fully closed position
(clockwise):
-
unscrew the adjuster (1) by 12 clicks.
