Turn off the server and peripheral devices, and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. 4. Remove the server cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 23). Drive release button CD or DVD drive 5. Press and hold the release button as you push the drive from the rear to slide it out of the bay. If you plan to reinstall the drive, place the drive on a flat, static-protective surface. Do not remove the drive mounting clip. Keep the drive available for reinstallation. Chapter 2.
