Setting Media Setting Name Media Type Platen Gap Drying Time Roll Tension Paper Suction Skew Reduction Paper Thickness ICC Profile PS unit print settings Roll Core Diameter Paper Feed Offset Paper Size Check Description Change the media name Set a paper category and paper type; the new media type can be selected in the printer driver and on the LCD screen Set the distance between the print head and the paper; choose a wider setting if prints are frequently scratched or smudged Set the drying time for each print head pass or for each page Adjust the roll tension setting if paper gets wrinkled during printing Select to adjust the printer's suction setting; choose lower values for thinner papers Select to reduce paper skew Set the thickness of the paper Set an ICC profile for the media type Select an RGB Profile when printing using the printer driver or select an RGB Profile or CMYK Profile when printing using a software RIP Set the print settings to use when printing using the Adobe Embedded Print Engine Select the paper core size for the loaded roll paper Select the amount of offset necessary to reduce banding on uneven color in printouts Select On to automatically detect the paper width when paper is loaded Select Off when the paper roll is empty. This allows you to set the paper width before feeding the paper. 114
