Section 3 - Configuration If the router does not detect the type of Internet connection you have, you will see a list of connection types. Select your Internet connection type. This information can be obtained from your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Select DHCP Connection (Dynamic IP Address) if your Internet connection automatically provides you with an IP address. This option is commonly used for cable modem services. Click Next to continue. If the router detected PPPoE or you selected Username/Password Connection (PPPoE), enter your PPPoE username and password supplied by your ISP. Click Next to continue.
