DES-3226L Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide To change the maximum allowed bandwidth for a given port in the Bandwidth Control Table window, click the selection button in the far left column that corresponds to the port you want to configure and click the Edit button. A new window opens: Figure 6-9. Bandwidth Control Table - Edit window To limit either the RX or TX rates, deselect the No Limit check box and enter the desired rate. Rates can be expressed using whole numbers up to the maximum available rate for the port. Mirroring Configurations The Switch allows you to copy frames transmitted and received on a port and redirect the copies to another port. You can attach a monitoring device to the mirrored port, such as a sniffer or an RMON probe, to view details about the packets passing through the first port. This is useful for network monitoring and troubleshooting purposes. To view the Mirror Configurations window, click Advanced Setup > Mirroring Configurations. Figure 6-10.
