Conformance to IEEE 802.1x Standards The DES-3226L implements the server-side of the IEEE 802.1x Port-based Network Access Control. This mechanism is intended to allow only authorized users, or other network devices, access to network resources by establishing criteria for each port on the Switch that a user or network device must meet before allowing that port to forward or receive frames. IEEE 802.1x operation must be enabled on the switch before it will function. This is done using the 802.1x State window. 802.1x settings can be configured before being enabled on the switch. 90
