MAINTENANCE Trip Spring Removal And Installation WARNING! Be careful when removing or installing parts which have spring tension. Wear safety glasses or goggles. Failure to obey warnings can cause injury or death. Removal 1. Remove the two nuts (Item 1). 1 2. Push forward on the top of the moldboard (Item 2) rotating it forward. Rotate mold board forward lift up on the spring (Item 3) until the tension bolt (Item 4) can be removed from the mounting bracket (Item 5). 3 2 4 5 3. Rotate the spring (Item 6) and remove from the moldboard (Item 7). 7 6 4. Rotate the spring (Item 8) and remove from the tension bolt (Item 9). Installation 1. Install the spring (Item 8) into the tension bolt (Item 9). 2. Rotate the spring (Item 6) and install in the moldboard (Item 7). 3. Press the top of the moldboard (Item 2) and install the tension bolt (Item 4) into the mounting bracket (Item 5). 4. Install the two nuts (Item 1). Tip: If the blade trips to easily, loosen the lower nut slightly, then tighten the upper nut until the desired tension is acquired. Tighten the lower nut to the upper nut to lock the nuts in place. Tip: If the blade trips to hard, loosen the lower nut slightly, then tighten the upper nut until the desired tension is acquired. Tighten the lower nut to the upper nut to lock the nuts in place. 9 8 30

Trip Spring Removal And Installation

Removal
1.
Remove the two nuts (Item 1).
2.
Push forward on the top of the moldboard (Item 2) rotating it for-
ward. Rotate mold board forward lift up on the spring (Item 3)
until the tension bolt (Item 4) can be removed from the mounting
bracket (Item 5).
3.
Rotate the spring (Item 6) and remove from the moldboard (Item
7).
4.
Rotate the spring (Item 8) and remove from the tension bolt
(Item 9).
Installation
1.
Install the spring (Item 8) into the tension bolt (Item 9).
2.
Rotate the spring (Item 6) and install in the moldboard (Item 7).
3.
Press the top of the moldboard (Item 2) and install the tension
bolt (Item 4) into the mounting bracket (Item 5).
4.
Install the two nuts (Item 1).
Tip:
If the blade trips to easily, loosen the lower nut slightly, then tighten the
upper nut until the desired tension is acquired. Tighten the lower nut to
the upper nut to lock the nuts in place.
