MAINTENANCE Cooling System Radiator Coolant To ensure that the coolant maintains its ability to protect the engine, Polaris recommends that you drain the system completely every two years and add a fresh mixture of antifreeze and water. Replace the coolant any time the cooling system has been drained for maintenance or repair. If the recovery bottle has run dry, check the level in the radiator. Add coolant as needed. CAUTION! Escaping steam can cause burns. Never remove the pressure cap while the engine is warm or hot. Always allow the engine to cool before removing the pressure cap. 1. Remove the front rack. 2. Remove the pressure cap. 3. Using a funnel, slowly add coolant through the radiator filler neck. 4. Reinstall the pressure cap. Use of a non-standard pressure cap will not allow the recovery system to function properly. Contact your dealer for the correct replacement part. 5. Reinstall the front rack. Radiator Cap 84

Cooling System
Radiator Coolant
To ensure that the coolant maintains its ability to protect the engine,
Polaris recommends that you drain the system completely every two
years and add a fresh mixture of antifreeze and water.
Replace the coolant any time the cooling system has been drained for
maintenance or repair. If the recovery bottle has run dry, check the level
in the radiator. Add coolant as needed.
CAUTION!
Escaping steam can cause burns. Never remove the pressure cap
while the engine is warm or hot. Always allow the engine to cool before
removing the pressure cap.
1.
Remove the front rack.
2.
Remove the pressure cap.
3.
Using a funnel, slowly add cool-
ant through the radiator filler
neck.
4.
Reinstall the pressure cap. Use of
a non-standard pressure cap will
not allow the recovery system to
function properly. Contact your
dealer for the correct replacement
part.
5.
Reinstall the front rack.
