96 MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT Tightening Torque Engine Oil Drain Plug: 18 ∼ 22 N·m (1.8 ∼ 2.2 kgf·m, 13 ∼ 16 ft·lb) Engine Oil Drain Plug: 18 ∼ 22 N·m (1.5 ∼ 2.0 kgf·m, 11 ∼ 15 ft·lb) Engine Oil Grade: Viscosity: A. Gasket API SF or SG API SH, SJ or SL with JASO MA SAE 10W-40 1.7 L (1.80 US qt) [when filter is not removed] 1.9 L (2.01 US qt) [when filter is removed] 2.2 L (2.33 US qt) [when engine is completely dry] j the engine oil drain plug with its gasket. • Install Tighten it to the specified torque. Capacity: żReplace the gasket with new one. the engine up to the "H" (High) line on the dip• Fill stick with a good quality engine oil specified in the table. NOTE the engine for several minutes. • Run Check the oil level. • Although 10W-40 engine oil is the recommended oil for most conditions, the oil viscosity may need to be changed to accommodate atmospheric conditions in your riding area.

A. Gasket
•
Install the engine oil drain plug with its gasket.
Tighten it to the specified torque.
NOTE
ż
Replace the gasket with new one.
•
Fill the engine up to the “H” (High) line on the dip-
stick with a good quality engine oil specified in the
table.
