6.14.3 Speed reduction and seating function inhibits The mentioned speed reduction and seating function limits do not apply to all Invacare wheelchair models. Speed reduction If the elevating seat has been adjusted above a certain point, the drive electronics considerably reduces the speed of the wheelchair. If speed reduction has been activated, drive mode can only be used to carry out movements in reduced speed and not for regular driving. To drive normally, adjust the elevating seat until the speed reduction is deactivated again. Speed reduction is shown in the display. If the elevating seat is raised above a certain point, an icon with an exclamation point is displayed in the status bar. This indicator remains active until speed reduction is deactivated again by lowering the elevating seat. Usage Seating function inhibits • Tilt limit The maximum tilt limit switch is a function to prevent the seat tilt or recline from extending beyond a maximum pre-set angle, when the elevating seat is raised above a certain point. The seating electronics stops automatically, a grey exclamation point is displayed on the seating screen and tilting or reclining backwards is inhibited A. The mentioned speed reduction and seating function
limits do not apply to all Invacare wheelchair models.
Speed reduction
If the elevating seat has been adjusted above a certain point,
the drive electronics considerably reduces the speed of the
wheelchair. If speed reduction has been activated, drive
mode can only be used to carry out movements in reduced
speed and not for regular driving. To drive normally, adjust
the elevating seat until the speed reduction is deactivated
again.
Speed reduction is shown in the display. If the elevating seat
is raised above a certain point, an icon with an exclamation
