LiNX® Control System 1.4.1 Intended Use - REM500 The LiNX REM500 is a Remote of the LiNX family, intended to allow powered wheelchair users to interact with the LiNX System. The REM500 Remote allows control of drive, actuator, lighting and connectivity functions. It provides an input for battery charging and contains a Bluetooth interface for connectivity functions only (HID and diagnostics). It is not possible to control the wheelchair via Bluetooth. The REM500 Remote does not contain a joystick and is intended to be used with a separate input source, including alternative drive input controls such as head controls. It is capable of providing information about the active user input. 1.5 Indication for Use Refer to the user manual for the base and for the seat for the indication for use for the mobility device. 1.6 Service Life The expected service life is five years, presuming that the product is used daily and in accordance with safety instructions, maintenance instructions and intended use, stated in this manual. 6 60126082-A
