Clear a blocking If the worm housing is blocked no mince comes out of the mincer while operating or the motor stops moving automatically because of the overload protection. ATTENTION: If a blocking occurs turn off the appliance immediately. Clear the problem before turning on the motor again. 1. Turn the appliance off and then take the feedstick out of the feed funnel. 2. If the motor stopped running because the overload protection turned itself on you have to turn press the CIRCUIT/BREAKER-button to undo the overload protection. 3. Press the OFF/REVERSE-button for approx. 3 sec. This will reverse the rotation of the worm and loosen the blocking. ATTENTION: If the motor is not operating in the reverse mode immediately, release the OFF/REVERSE-button, pull the plug and clean the appliance according to ›Care and Cleaning‹ instructions. 4. After using the reverse mode wait approx. 3 sec before pressing the ON-button again. If the appliance is not working properly and the blocking occurs repeatedly, turn the appliance off withe the OFF/REVERSE-button, pull the plug and clean the appliance according to ›Care and Cleaning‹ instructions. Storage Always clean the appliance before storing. ATTENTION: Store and use the appliance in a clean, frost free environment where it is protected from dampness, moistness and immoderate and extraordinary burden (such as: downfall, beat, overheating, moisture in the motor block). Never lay heavy or hard objects on top of the appliance. Always assemble the appliance for storing. This way the parts are protected and can not get lost. ATTENTION: Never pull, rip, bend, clamp, squish or knot the line cord. WARNING: Always switch off completely (OFF/REVERSE-button), unplug and clean the appliance and all its parts before storing (see: ›Care and Cleaning‹). Ensure to store the appliance where it is clean, dry and safe from frost, direct sunlight and inadmissible strain (mechanical or electric shock, heat, moisture) and where it is out of reach of young children. Place the appliance on a clean and stable surface, where it cannot fall. Do not place any hard or heavy objects on the appliance or any part of it. Always handle the power cord with care. Power cords may never be knotted, twisted, pulled, strained or squeezed. Do not use any parts or tools of the appliance for any other purpose than operating the appliance. It is a good advice to store the parts and accessories of the appliance with the appliance. 1.Always clean the appliance and its parts before storage (see: ›Care and Cleaning‹). 2.It is good advice to reassemble the worm housing with worm and a grinding disc before storage, (see: ›Assembling the appliance‹) to avoid injuries by the crossed-blade knife. 30
