Troubleshooting System Errors Temperature Error When the TV temperature reaches a high level, the Temperature Error icon ( ) appears on the screen and the power light on the front of the TV display blinks 3 times per second to alert you that the system is in danger of overheating. After 1 minute, the TV will automatically switch into standby mode. Low Portable Battery Level Alert When the portable battery in the TV reaches a low level, the Low Portable Battery icon ( ) appears on the screen. The power light on the front of the TV display blinks every second for 10 minutes and will then automatically switch the TV into standby mode. (Battery usage time: about 1 hour, Battery charging time: about 10 hours.) Low Vehicle Battery Level Alert When using an external DC power source such as an automobile battery, the Low Vehicle Battery icon ( ) appears on the screen and the power light on the front of the TV display blinks every second, when it has been determined that the automobile battery voltage has been drained close to a point where the automobile could no longer be started. As this low automobile battery threshold may be different across the many types and brands of automobile batteries the "low battery warning" on the DIRECTV Sat-Go may be triggered some time before it is in fact near a critical point for any given automobile battery. DIRECTV has designed the DIRECTV Sat-Go system to adhere to industry standards for voltage tolerances and as a result each user should carefully monitor the automobile battery drain in this situation. Note: Connecting to a vehicle battery can sometimes cause the electric discharge of your vehicle battery. Make sure your vehicle battery is fully charged. 55

Troubleshooting
System Errors
Temperature Error
When the TV temperature reaches a high level, the Temperature Error icon (
) appears on
the screen and the power light on the front of the TV display blinks 3 times per second to alert
you that the system is in danger of overheating. After 1 minute, the TV will automatically switch
into standby mode.
Low Portable Battery Level Alert
When the portable battery in the TV reaches a low level, the Low Portable Battery icon
(
) appears on the screen. The power light on the front of the TV display blinks every
second for 10 minutes and will then automatically switch the TV into standby mode. (Battery
usage time: about 1 hour, Battery charging time: about 10 hours.)
Low Vehicle Battery Level Alert
When using an external DC power source such as an automobile battery, the Low Vehicle
Battery icon (
) appears on the screen and the power light on the front of the TV display
blinks every second, when it has been determined that the automobile battery voltage has
been drained close to a point where the automobile could no longer be started. As this low
automobile battery threshold may be different across the many types and brands of automobile
batteries the “low battery warning” on the DIRECTV Sat-Go may be triggered some time
before it is in fact near a critical point for any given automobile battery. DIRECTV has designed
the DIRECTV Sat-Go system to adhere to industry standards for voltage tolerances and as a
result each user should carefully monitor the automobile battery drain in this situation.
Note:
Connecting to a vehicle battery can sometimes cause the electric discharge of
your vehicle battery. Make sure your vehicle battery is fully charged.
