PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT EAU33031 EAU35196 Changing the coolant The coolant must be changed at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart. Have a Yamaha dealer change the coolant. WARNING! Never attempt to remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. [EWA10381] Cleaning the air filter elements The air filter elements should be cleaned at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart. Clean or, if necessary, replace the air filter elements more frequently if you are riding in unusually wet or dusty areas. 1. Remove cowlings A and B. (See page 8-9.) TIP Continue as follows for each air filter element. 2. Remove the air filter case bolts. 3. Loosen the air filter case joint clamp screw, and then pull the air filter case off. 1.
