Lift the rear of the snowmobile onto a suitable stand to raise the drive track off the ground. 2. Start the engine and rotate the drive track one or two turns. Stop the engine. 3. Check the drive track alignment with the slide runners. If the alignment is incorrect, adjust the drive track. Checking the drive track alignment
1.
Lift the rear of the snowmobile onto a suit-
able stand to raise the drive track off the
ground.
2.
Start the engine and rotate the drive track
one or two turns. Stop the engine.
3.
Check the drive track alignment with the
slide runners. If the alignment is incorrect,
adjust the drive track.
Measuring the drive track deflection
1.
Lay the snowmobile on its side.
2.
Measure the drive track deflection with a
spring scale. Pull at the center of the drive
track with a force of 100 N (10 kgf, 22 lbf).
TIP
Measure the gap between the slide runner
and the edge of the track window on both
sides.
3.
If the deflection is incorrect, adjust the
drive track.
