Throttle cable free play, checking PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT EAUT1990 EAU44734 EAU1722A EAU21382 Replacing the air filter element 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 The air filter element must be replaced and the check hoses must be cleaned at the intervals specified in the periodic maintenance and lubrication chart. Have a Yamaha dealer replace the air filter element. Checking the engine idling speed Check the engine idling speed and, if necessary, have it corrected by a Yamaha dealer. Engine idling speed: 2000 ~ 2200 r/min Checking the throttle cable free play The throttle cable free play should measure 1.5~3.5 mm (0.06~0.14 in) at the throttle grip. Periodically check the throttle cable free play and, if necessary, have a Yamaha dealer adjust it. 6-48 6-13
